Singapore, March 1st, 2023: Apolo’s Food Village from the house of The Banana Leaf Apolo is a culinary extravaganza destined to be a landmark for food connoisseurs. The restaurant will open its doors to the public on the 6th of March, 2023.

The new, Singapore’s first 350-seater Pan Asian, multi-cuisine restaurant is located at Little India Arcade. It features a wide array of over 600 plus exquisite dishes created with the freshest ingredients, expertly crafted by skilled chefs. From delicious snacks and decadent desserts to craft cocktails, fresh seafood, and scrumptious mains, the restaurant serves up all this and more in a luxurious dining experience that will keep locals, foodies, and travelers coming back for more. The restaurant has ample and unassuming space with 12,000 sq. ft. and several themed corners to enjoy your lip-smacking meal.

It truly is a perfect amalgamation of fine dining and art! With the unique open-kitchen concept, fish on display to choose from, Indo-Chinese, North and South Indian, and East Asian food, Apolo’s Food Village has something for everybody. For the health-conscious, there is an extensive menu of nourishing, low-calorie food as well.

Choose from the rustic North Indian room that features stunning décor and art pieces from Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, the charming South Indian room adorned with cultural artifacts from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, or the stately Singapore room embellished with the Merlion and the Founder of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew pictures along with other quintessential hand-crafted Singaporean artifacts among many others. It is like visiting timeless classics from across regions.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion, or perhaps if you simply would like to treat yourself to an indulgent meal, keep Apolo’s Food Village in mind for your next feast. The naturally-lit space features earthy VIBGYOR tones complemented by seats in cream tones, channelling the sense of joie de vivre that the restaurant intends to offer. The design team has attempted to have vocal interiors that go well with the heritage arcade’s original elements, such as its glass-stained split windows, hand-crafted door entrance, and mosaic floor tiles, which retain the historical charm of the space.

True to its promise, the wide selection of cuisines are prepared using revered traditional cooking methods. For example, the Indian food served at Apolo’s Food Village is cooked in handmade mud pots, and plates sourced from India’s fertile Kaveri Delta region and garnished with locally sourced herbs and spices. The signature neem chopping board is another excellent example of adapting culinary practices from local regions. The restaurant also has a quaint Indian Mithai corner and a diverse menu of appetizing desserts to satiate your sweet tooth.

It also features a full-fledged, state-of-the-art LOFTY PEAKS bar that serves classic and exotic spirits, craft cocktails, and a medley of beverages.

Address:  48 Serangoon Road, 01-32, Little India Arcade, Singapore 217959

In today’s date the restaurant has 3 outlets in Singapore located at Race Course road, Pasir Ris and Sengkang. Mr. Sankaranathan started helping out in the restaurant (The Banana Leaf Apolo) at the age of 7 and has manned the cashier, collecting money and writing the earnings in a notebook. He went on to learn the fine art of serving delicision food  “the A to Zs of running a restaurant”, from cooking to making deliveries for catering orders. He took over the running of the restaurant when he turned 24. He opened a 300-seat outlet in Little India Arcade in 2007 and started a fusion Indian restaurant called Apolo Bistro, in the same building in April 2006. He later decided to close it down and decided to open a PAN Asian restaurant at the same location by the name of “Apolo’s Food Village. Joining him in this venture will be his wife S Rajeswari (Director) and their son (3rd Gen) S Nirmal Raj- Director. S.
