The central government has taken up the things that have to be improved in the Tourism industry in the coming financial year budget. The United Hoteliers of Udaipur have been working hard to achieve a good place and raise up the tourism industry which was badly affected during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. UB Srivastava

The United Hoteliers of Udaipur Society was started during the time of Covid-19 pandemic and has been one and half years old now. It was formed when the Industry was going through a very bad phase. The idea of the association was mainly to focus on those who were really affected during the time of the pandemic, people who were unemployed, lost their life and bring back those who had left the industry to some other tracks. People came together and formed a committee with nineteen members initially. Being the President of United Hoteliers of Udaipur, Mr. UB Srivastava as a general manager has opened around ten Hotels. He has around thirty five years of experience and a wide exposure of networks in this Industry which is growing very fast.

Key activities
The association was started an year ago during the time of the pandemic. The idea and objective of the association was to support the community which was the most affected during the time of the pandemic. The financial and economic stages were not doing good during the time of the pandemic. Due to this situation a lot of people working in this Hotel industry got affected due to the unemployment, lack of salaries and hikes some even lost their life due to the pandemic. The association is playing a crucial role in supporting those who are affected during the pandemic.

Recently the association created a jury and started collecting money which was donated to the affected family. In another stage the association created a blood donation camp and also organised a chef competition to bring the people together.

“Looking into the current scenario the association is planning for safe and secure association activities”. said Mr. UB Srivastava, President of United Hoteliers of Udaipur.

Demand and Growth
The growth of Tourism has risen up to 30 percent because people are coming out. The forecasting for this Industry is having a good future looking into the current growth. The international market is also still in the restrictions because of the pandemic, hopefully the restrictions should all come down by next year and by 2022 there the industry demand will be at its peak. There is a bigger contribution from Gujarat, Chandigarh and Delhi like people are still travelling and taking a break from their usual routine. There has been a drive happening for the vaccines and the staff are ensured that they are completely vaccines which is mandatory. These measures are taking place which can reduce the risk for a third wave of lockdown if it happens. “The market demand is peaking up everyday after the post pandemic,” added Srivastava.

Declarations from Government
The central government has already declared some factors that should raise the tourism Industry. But there has not been any specific growth that has been shown till now. The state government has been supporting the tourism Industry and has been showing positive hands for raising up the Industry. The considerations will be mainly focused on the commercial charges and industry benefits which were not considered before. The industry is hoping for a good financial budget in the coming year which should improve the tourism sector.

New Trends
There have been a lot of technical adaptations that are happening in this industry, and a lot of new machinery has been added to improve the quality of the products and service without human potential. The Food delivery partners like zomato and swiggy are doing a major role in this industry as we find small food outlets which has increased the business. New people are coming into the industry to do their startups with their family capitals. The association guides these people to take a minimum exposure of the industry before starting their own company for understanding the risk factors which is very critical.

Expansion Plans
The association is planning to monitor all the precaution measures and security norms that should be followed for the guests and staff. It has been getting in touch with all the customers as well as the hotelers to ensure and reveal that all the exposure is safe and secure. This will enable more guests to come forward and utilise the service provided. The industry has seen most of their colleagues and chiefs who were highly paid moved out and started up their own food outlets and cloud kitchens. The association is helping them if they are not in a good position to handle it. They are the people who are really developing the tourism industry. “We are trying to bring them back to the Industry for the betterment of commerce and economic stages of the Industry” added Srivastava.

So many students who are doing their course in hotel management and culinary institutes. They should understand the industry is open in vast. The United Hoteliers of Udaipur Society instructs these students to take up good participation in every activities and chances.“The coming future of those who are entering into the industry of Hospitality and Culinary fields are very bright”. concluded Srivastava.
